The official news agencies of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries, GCC, launched a unified news mobile phone application yesterday in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The application, which was designed by the Qatar News Agency, QNA, will compile news from GCC states in a unified site to facilitate access to official information and news. The application is available under "GCC News" on all smart devices in both Arabic and English.

The launch was attended by senior directors, board chairmen, and representatives of the region's six news agencies, including the UAE.
