Established in 1877, the Marshall News Messenger publishes a print edition Tuesday through Sunday, and updates breaking news daily on web and mobile sites. Originally known as the Marshall Morning News, the newspaper today covers the Harrison County seat of Marshall and the surrounding area from Hallsville on the west to the Louisiana border on the east, and from northern Harrison County south into northern Panola County.
