The SunStar website empowers Philippine communities by providing news and information from the provinces to a national and global audience. It was created in 1996, first as a website of SunStar Cebu. On May 10, 2000, www.sunstar.com.ph became the home to the only network of community newspapers in the country. It pools news and information from SunStar newspapers and networks in 12 major cities in the Philippines.
