The Stockholm County Council, or Stockholms läns landsting, is a County Council, a regional municipal body corresponding to the territory of Stockholm County in Sweden. Its main responsibilities are for the public healthcare system and public transport.Our primary task is to ensure that residents in the county have access to well-functioning healthcare and public transport. We are also responsible for regional planning and to contribute to a free and accessible cultural life in the county. The county council is a politically governed organization and our highest decision-making body is the county council.
