The magazine e & i is read by opinion leaders and multipliers in industry and business as well as by the international scientific community. It is the only technical-scientific journal in the German-speaking area that publishes articles from the entire field of electrical engineering and information technology.

The spectrum ranges from microelectronics, information and communication technology, control engineering and automation, electrical engineering, energy conversion and supply as well as the energy industry to environmental protection. Likewise, e & i reports on major technological developments, trend-setting projects and relevant trade fairs. In the journal section, e & i informs its readers about industry news, such as new technologies and products, electrotechnical standardization, personal events and events. Its function as an organ of the OVE Austrian Association for Electrical Engineering is carried out by e & i through continuous reporting on the association, its divisions, companies and members. The e & i is published by Springer Verlag Wien.
