The Steel Country Bee has been covering news, government, education, sports and community happening for more than 50 years. More than 13,000 people reside in Morris County, which is home to US Steel. Daingerfield is the county seat, with Omaha, Naples, Lone Star and a portion of Hughes Springs. Outdoorsmen (and women) find Morris County a great place to visit with such destinations as the Daingerfield State Park, Ellison Creek Reservior and the scenic Lake O’ the Pines. There are also festivals and other events througout the year which attracts thousands of people.
